When is Awakening Music Festival?

This year's festival will be two days and will be held on Friday, September 17th and Saturday, September 18th.

 

Where do I buy tickets?

You can puchase your tickets here online, by phone at: 703-660-5550 or you can purchase tickets at the Loudoun County Visitors Association located in Leesburg - 112-G South St., SE, Leesburg, VA 20175 - website.

 

What time does the parking lot open?

The parking lot opens at 2:30pm on Friday and 8:00am on Saturday. Please plan ahead as traffic does tend to back up getting into the festival and you do not want to miss any of the bands or activities.

What time does the gates open?

The gates open at 4:30pm on Friday and 10:00am on Saturday. The line to get into the festival usually starts about one and half hours before the gates open. Plan to get there early to get a great spot!

 

Can we camp at the festival?

New for 2010! We do have primitive camping available at the festival. See Camping for more information.

 

Where is Awakening Music Festival?

Awakening Music Fest is held at Morven Park International Equestrian Center in Leesburg, VA. Leesburg, VA is in Northern Virginia, just outside Washington DC. See Location

What started the Awakening Music Festival?

The idea of the festival was created after a few individuals who were reading "The Purpose Driven Life, by: Rick Warren" and God laid this event on their hearts. They looked for a way to make an impact in the community. With help from God and a great group of awesome friends, the festival was created in 2003.

 

What is Awakening Music Festival?

Awakening Music Festival is a Christian music festival held in Northern Virginia. Its purpose is to provide a day of fun and fellowship for everyone. Our goal is to introduce Christ through the music, artists and the speakers.

 

Where elase can we stay if we do not want to camp?

Awakening Festival has partnered with many local hotels to provide you with great rates. Here is a list of local hotels.

 

How does the festival help support the community?

Awakening Ministries is a non-profit organization all funds go towards putting together this festival. We do not profit from this event and all money goes to the festival. We dontate a portion of the proceeds to different local non-profits at the end of the year and we also do a food drive at the festival that is donated to the local food bank.

 

Seating?

The festival is all lawn seating, so bring your blanket and your chairs. NO TENTS , LARGE UMBRELLAS or CANOPIES ALLOWED. Please be respectful to others and their line of site to the stage. If you block others views, we will ask you to move or remove the item blocking the view.

 

Can I leave and come back without having to pay again?

YES. You can leave the festival area and re-enter without having to pay again. You will have you hand stamped to allow you to re-enter. Please make sure you get your hand stamped if you want to return. If you dont get you hand stamped, you will NOT be allowed to re-enter without paying for another ticket.

 

Who performs at Awakening Music Festival?

A variety of Christian music artists perform at our festival. We bring in local, regional, and nationally known artists who perform a wide range of Contemporary Christian Music! See Artists

 

Food, Drinks, Snacks?

You are welcome to bring food and coolers - no alcoholic beverages - no glass containers allowed - if found, they will be removed. The festival has multiple food vendors which include Moe's, Papa Johns Pizza, fair/festival food vendors and they will be selling food at very reasonable prices. Wraps, Pizza, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Italian Sausages, French Fries, Ice Cream, Nachos, Funnel cakes and many new food vendors will be available this year! Kettle Korn will again available for purchase. We will also be selling candy, chips, sodas, bottles of water and other snacks. DipNDots will be selling the ice cream throughout the day.

 

How much does Awakening Music Festival cost?

You can purchase your ticket starting July 15th for $22.00 online, or by phone. There are group discounts - See Tickets. Purchase early and save. Tickets after Sept. 15th will be sold at the gate for $25 each.

What should I bring to Awakening Music Festival?

You will want to bring your Awakening Music Festival ticket, blankets, jackets, umbrellas, rain coats, Bible, and your friends.
**Please note that video cameras and other audio recording devices are prohibited. Video Camera's will be removed and the person will be escorted out of the festival.

 

What NOT to bring to Awakening Music Festival?

Don't bring alcoholic beverages, glass bottles, video cameras or pets!. NO "FREE HUG" SIGNS!! NO TENTS in seating area - only in tent allowed area, LARGE UMBRELLAS or CANOPIES ALLOWED.

Is Awakening Music Festival strictly a youth/teen event?

No. Awakening Music Festival is not just a teen event is also a event for the whole family with music and activities to reach all ages.

 

Who is the sponsoring organization for Awakening Music Festival?

Awakening Music Festival was created for the specific purpose of holding an annual Christian music event. The Awakening Music Festival is organized by a committee of volunteers from the Northern Virginia area. This group of volunteers come from a variety of churches representing many denominations. We receive support from local businesses and individuals. See Sponsors.

 

Are there food vendors at the festival that we can buy food from?

YES! Moe's, Papa Johns Pizza, along with other food vendors, will be selling food at very reasonable prices. We will also be selling candy, chips, sodas, bottles of water and other snacks. DipNDots will be selling the ice cream throughout the day.

 

Can we bring our own food?

Yes. Feel free to bring your own food and drinks - NO alcoholic beverages. Coolers are allowed, but may be searched. Please respect others and their space at the festival, be good neighbors. NO GLASS PLEASE. Please clean up after yourselves - remember - this is put together all by volunteers and we should not and do not want to clean up after everyone. We are not your mothers (she should not have to anyway either)!

 

How much are tickets for children?

Children 6 and under are FREE. All others are at the normal ticket cost.

 

Are animals allowed in the event?

No pets allowed at the festival.

 

Is there a fee for parking?

Parking is FREE!

 

Will there be shade areas?

There is very limited areas for shade. There are many tents at the festival, visit the vendor and merchandise tents during the day to get out of the sun. We also have a designated area to where you may bring a tent to provide shade or your meeting place for your groups - no tents in the seating area.

 

How can my band play at the festival?

Every year we invite a couple of local/regional bands to perform at the festival. We are always looking for great bands and if you are interested in being considered, please send your CD and press package to:
